Faulconer Photograph recognized in ENR’s 2023 Year in Construction

Felton Grove High School in Apex, NC is a massive site with complex earthwork, site walls and land bridges. To stay on top of the progress, our team employs topo drones to measure earthwork progress and provide reporting to the client team. While on site performing a topo survey, our survey technicians noticed that one of our subcontract partners was performing lime stabilization and decided to take a closer look.
Using a smaller drone, Andrew Cox, captured an overhead shot of the lime stabilization progress. “The juxtaposition of the white lime with the North Carolina red clay jumped out at me when I was monitoring the topo progress” says Cox. The artistic quality of the stark difference was apparent to the judges of the ENR 2023 Year in Construction Photo Contest. The judges selected the photo from 1,200 submissions as one of the winning photos for 2023’s contest. Read more at ENR.com.
